38th Annual Sears Invitational Art Show & Sale Submission Policy

  1. Eligibility
    • Open to all artists aged 18 and above.
    • Geographic restrictions: artist-based West of the Mississippi River.
  2. Submission Guidelines
    • Accepted mediums: Oil, sculpture, watercolor, mixed media, acrylic, miscellaneous media, mixed media, photography, ceramics, digital art.
    • Maximum size: 48 x 48 inches.
    • Maximum weight: 50 lbs. (2D art)
    • Up to 4 submissions per artist; max of 2 submissions accepted.
    • All works must be original.
    • All works must be done in either 2024 or 2025.

    • No fees to enter.
  5. Deadlines
    • Submission deadline: November 1, 2024, at 11:59 PM.
    • Notification date: November 15, 2024.
  6. Selection Process
    • Selected by a panel of expert judges.
    • Criteria: originality, technical skill, salability.
  7. Exhibition Details
    • Exhibition dates: February 15-March 30, 2025.
    • Venue: UT Sears Art Museum, St. George, UT.
    • Utah artists – free pickup and drop-off will be provided.
    • Non-Utah artists – responsible for shipping and insurance.
  8. Sales and Commissions
    • All artworks must be available for purchase during the exhibition.
    • UT Sears Art Museum commission: 40% of sale price
  9. Publicity and Promotion
    • The exhibition will be promoted through our website, social media, and press releases.
    • By submitting, artists grant permission to use images of their work for promotional purposes.
  10. Legal Considerations
    • Artists retain copyright of their works.
    • By submitting, artists agree to the terms and conditions of this policy.
